Disposable
There are a number of deck accessories needed when using disposable tips. The arm configuration (disposable tip LiHa™ arm or MCA™) will determine the tip carrier type, rack mount and or stacked verses nested. This drives what type of carrier system will be required for the instrument.
Rack vs. Nested
The rack style tips are free hanging and require a Diti™ tip carrier. These carriers typically come with 2 or 3 positions and with or without a waste chute. The nested tips are typically used when deck space is at a premium and are most commonly seen on instruments with an MCA96™ arm. Some type of gripper or stacker system is required to manage tip wafers.
Note: Filtered tips cannot be nested therefore the storage is typically racked.
